Al-Khalil-Birmingham Friendship Association is developing links between the people of Birmingham and Hebron (Al-Khalil). Whilst the whole of the West Bank is under increasing attack from settlers and Israeli Occupation Forces the people of Hebron are acutely affected. Over many years, the military occupation, violence from settlers in the midst of the city and the numerous checkpoints have made daily life almost impossible – from going to work or school, shopping, providing for your family. Some streets are completely closed to Palestinians. As a result many families live in severe poverty, so quite apart from the sheer physical effort needed for families to meet up for Eid, they lack the resources to provide food, clothes and other necessities to enable them to celebrate Eid ul Fitr with dignity
We have committed to raising £3,000 to help 50 families in Hebron this Eid.
ALL WELCOME PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY
Wednesday 25 February 4.30-6.30pm All Saints Church, Garden Room,
